About this website
What exactly does Insider Casino Review do?
We are an independent UK publisher that reviews casino brands holding a UK Gambling Commission licence. We open real accounts, deposit our own money, time our own withdrawals and publish what happened. We are not an operator: you cannot deposit, wager or hold a balance with us.
Who owns Insider Casino Review?
Insider Casino Review is published by Insider Casino Review Media Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15 482 903) and based in London. The company was established in 2026 and has no ownership relationship with any casino operator.
How is Insider Casino Review funded?
We earn a commission when a reader follows a link to a brand and later opens an account. The commission does not vary with the score we award, and brands have no input into our verdicts. Our Disclosure page explains this in full.
Can a brand pay to appear or rank higher?
No. Placement follows the score, and the score follows the testing protocol. If we ever accepted payment for placement we would be required to label it, and we would rather simply not do it.
Is your content written by artificial intelligence?
No. Reviews are written by the reviewer who ran the test and fact-checked by a second team member against the raw notes. Any figure quoted corresponds to a recorded observation.
Licensing and safety
How do I check a UK casino licence myself?
Go to the Gambling Commission public register, search for the operator or the domain name, and confirm the account number and that the status reads active. Both brands we cover hold account number 39335, and the register entry is linked from each review so you can check it in about thirty seconds.
What does the Gambling Commission licence actually protect?
A UK licence obliges the operator to segregate customer funds to a defined standard, verify age before the first deposit, offer deposit and loss limits, participate in GAMSTOP, market fairly, and handle complaints through an approved alternative dispute resolution provider. It does not guarantee you will win, and it does not remove the risk of losing your money.
What should I do if a licensed operator treats me unfairly?
Complain to the operator first in writing. If it is not resolved within eight weeks, escalate to the operator's approved alternative dispute resolution provider, which must be named in its terms. You can also report concerns to the Gambling Commission, though the Commission does not resolve individual disputes.
Is it legal to gamble online in the UK?
Yes, provided you are 18 or over and the operator holds a Gambling Commission licence for the British market. Using an unlicensed operator is legal for you as a consumer but leaves you without the protections above, which is why we only cover licensed brands.
Money, deposits and withdrawals
Why do withdrawals sometimes take days?
The most common cause is source-of-funds or identity documentation requested at the cash-out stage. Complete verification immediately after registering and most delays disappear. Bank processing time then adds up to two working days on debit cards, which is outside the operator's control.
Can I use a credit card?
No. Credit card gambling has been prohibited in Great Britain since April 2020. Licensed operators accept debit cards, bank transfers and approved e-wallets only.
Are your quoted withdrawal times guaranteed?
No. They are measurements from our own testing window, published so you have a realistic expectation rather than a marketing promise. Your bank, your verification status and the amount can all change the outcome.
Do the brands you review charge withdrawal fees?
Neither BetMorph nor AceLucky applied a withdrawal fee to any of the six cash-outs we made during testing. Always check the current terms, as fee policies can change.
Safer gambling
What is GAMSTOP and does it cost anything?
GAMSTOP is the free national self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. One registration blocks you from every operator licensed by the Gambling Commission for six months, one year or five years. It cannot be cancelled early, which is the point. Registration takes a few minutes at gamstop.co.uk.
What limits should I set before I deposit?
A deposit limit is the single most effective control because it caps the money entering the account regardless of what happens afterwards. Add a loss limit and a session reminder. Increases to any limit are held for at least 24 hours by law; reductions apply immediately.
Where can I get free, confidential help right now?
The National Gambling Helpline is free on 0808 8020 133, 24 hours a day. BeGambleAware, GamCare and Gamblers Anonymous all offer support at no cost, including live chat and local meetings. Our Responsible Gaming page lists them with direct links.
How do I know if my gambling is becoming a problem?
Common warning signs include gambling with money set aside for something else, chasing losses, borrowing to fund a deposit, hiding the activity from people close to you, and finding that it is no longer enjoyable. If any of these sound familiar, take a time-out and speak to one of the free services listed on our Responsible Gaming page.
Reviews and corrections
How often are reviews updated?
Every review is re-checked at least every ninety days, and immediately if we learn of a material change such as different withdrawal times, altered chat hours or a change to the licence entry. The date at the top of each review shows the last check.
Why do you only cover two brands?
Because a review takes fourteen days of real testing and our own deposits. We would rather publish two brands we can defend line by line than fifty we skimmed. Additional UK-licensed brands are currently in testing.
I think something on this website is wrong. What now?
Please tell us through the contact form or by emailing editorial@insidercasinoreview.co.uk. We respond to correction requests within five working days and, if we got it wrong, we fix the page and add a visible note rather than deleting the error.
